Woodson Lecture: A New Lens on America’s Divides

Join us in person for a dynamic and interactive program that offers a new way to examine the current divides in America. Ezra Hyland, educator at the University of Minnesota, will bring this discussion to life using three texts: "Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents" by Isabel Wilkerson, "Stamped From the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America" by Ibram Kendi, and "The 1619 Project: A New Origin Story" by Nikole Hannah-Jones. Check out Hyland’s reading list for the discussion. No pre-reading required. Everyone is welcome. Funded by Friends of the Hennepin County Library.
