Minneapolis Public Schools issued the following announcement on Oct. 3.
On Custodial Appreciation Day, we celebrate our dedicated and selfless building engineers and other support staff who work to keep our schools and buildings safe and clean for students, families, staff and our community. Each day, they give their all to ensure students have welcoming learning environments. This year, that is as true as ever, with staff going above and beyond to meet new sanitizing guidelines to protect our school communities from COVID-19. Our entire MPS community thanks you!
