Protestors damage buildings in Minneapolis, St. Paul and Twin Cities during protests of Floyd's death

More than 150 buildings and businesses in Minneapolis, St. Paul and the Twin Cities suburbs have been damaged, looted or destroyed as protests continue after the death of George Floyd, a 46 year-old African American man who was knelt on for seven minutes by a white officer, Derek Chauvin, despite pleading for Chauvin to stop, saying he couldn’t breathe.

The following is a list of those buildings. Approximately 110 were in Minneapolis, 45 in St. Paul and seven in the Twin Cities suburbs, according to Bring Me The News. These properties were damaged extensively – car dealerships had vehicles stolen, some were sites of looting, and others were set on fire.

Minneapolis:

  • Park-Nicollet Minneapolis Clinic: Property damage.
  • Arby's Lake Street: Destroyed by fire.
  • K-Mart Lake Street: Property damage.
  • Penzey's Spices Uptown: Property damage, looting.
  • Walgreens Hennepin and 27th: Property damage.
  • Midori's Floating World Cafe Lake Street: Fire damage.
  • GM Tobacco Lake and 27th: Fire damage.
  • McDonald's Lake and 31st: Property damage.
  • Walgreens Central and Lowry in Northeast: Property damage.
  • Wells Fargo Lake Street: Fire and property damage.
