The Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) is set to host a special event titled "Institute of Hearts" from February 11 to 16, 2025. This museum-wide celebration will take place during regular museum hours at its location on Third Avenue South in Minneapolis.

A highlight of the event is scheduled for February 13, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., where visitors can partake in a Valentine's-themed gathering known as "Meet at Mia." This evening aims to bring together romantics, creatives, and those seeking companionship through various activities. Participants are encouraged to collect hearts at Mia's Visitor Experience Desk and engage with the event by tagging @artsmia or using #MiaHearts on social media.

During the Meet at Mia event, attendees can enjoy art-making sessions led by Akiko Ostlund, live music performances by Debbie Briggs Jazz and Lazerbeak + Friends, and a guided tour named "Lonely Hearts Club," which delves into some of Mia’s most poignant love stories. A food truck offering edible cookie dough will be available from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Minneapolis Institute of Art offers over 100,000 artworks spanning 7,000 years of history. It provides an environment that fosters creativity and global conversations while linking past narratives with contemporary insights. General admission remains free for all visitors; however, some exhibitions may require a small fee.

For further details about the events or general inquiries about the museum, interested parties can call +1 612 870 3000 or visit www.artsmia.org.
