A Minneapolis man faces charges related to two separate armed robberies, according to a recent announcement by U.S. Attorney Andrew M. Luger.
Court documents reveal that on June 7, 2024, Korey Maurese Hale, 25, allegedly used a Mossberg 715T .22 caliber rifle during the robbery of a drug store. The following day, June 8, Hale reportedly brandished the same firearm while robbing a bank.
Hale is charged with one count of Hobbs Act robbery, one count of armed bank robbery, and two counts of brandishing a firearm during a bank robbery. His initial court appearance took place on December 3, 2024, in U.S. District Court before Magistrate Judge Dulce J. Foster.
The case stems from an investigation conducted by the FBI in collaboration with the Minneapolis Police Department and the St. Paul Police Department.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew D. Forbes is leading the prosecution.
It is important to note that an indictment is merely an allegation and defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
