Census Bureau: 77.9% of people in Hennepin County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 1,270,283 citizens living in Hennepin County in 2021, 77.9% were old enough to vote, equating to 990,122 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 488,871 were male, constituting 49.4%, and 501,251 were female, making up 50.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Hennepin County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 76.7%.
