Registered sex offenders: nine living in Crow Wing County in June

There was the same number of registered sex offenders living in Crow Wing County in June compared to the previous month, according to the Minnesota Public Registrant Search.

There are nine sex offenders registered in Crow Wing County in June.

The Registry shows none of these sex offenders are sexual predators. In Minnesota, convicted predatory offenders also are subject to certain mandatory sentencing laws that are designed to minimize their chances to re-offend.

Minnesota legislation about sex offenders and predators is currently being evaluated and revised, such as if offenders with good behavior can be removed from the Registry.

Richard Walter EvoniukCriminal sexual conduct in the second degreeRichard Evoniuk has a history of engaging in sexual contact against known, female children. In each incident he gained and exploited unmonitored access to the victims through the use of his various relationships of trust. Evoniuk used the victims' confusion and naiveite to maintain control.
Brandon Keith ChurchillCriminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree, criminal sexual conduct in the first degreeBrandon Churchill has a history of sexual contact with known female children and teenagers. Contact included sexual touching and penetration. Force was used to gain compliance in at least one instance.
Tyler Steven JayCriminal sexual conduct in the first degree, criminal sexual conduct in the second degree Tyler Jay engaged is separate incidents of sexual contact against known and unknown male children. Contact included sexual touching and penetration. He used his relationship of trust to exploit unmonitored access with the known victims'. He used his position of employment to exploit unmonitored access with the unknown victims'. With all victims, Jay used their confusion and naiveite in his efforts to maintain control.
Christopher Robert RoehlCriminal sexual conduct in the second degreeChristopher Roehl has a history of sexual contact with known male children. Contact included sexual touching. Roehl gained access to one male while residing at the same residence. Roehl has used his position of authority to gain compliance.
Christopher Eugene WheelerCriminal sexual conduct in the second degree, criminal sexual conduct in the third degree Wheeler has a history of sexual contact with known female children and teens. Contact included penetration. Force and threats have been used to gain compliance. Wheeler also took advantage of one female's vulnerable state to gain compliance.
Lumasakila Izick PattersonCriminal sexual conduct in the first degreeLumasakila Patterson engaged in sexual contact with an unknown adult female. Contact included penetration. Patterson gained access by approaching her on the street and forcing her to another location. Physical force was used to gain compliance.
Matthew David LehrmanSolicitation of children to engage in sexual conduct, communication of sexually explicit materials to childrenMatthew Lehrman engaged in sexual conduct with an undercover officer posing as a female teenager online. Conduct included solicitating victim to engage in sexual contact.
Thomas Richard EricksonCriminal sexual conduct in the second degreeThomas Richard has a history of sexual contact against known, male children and teens. Contact has included sexual touching and penetration. Richard's gained access to the victims through attention and affection. He maintained control through manipulation and confusion.
