Performer Andrea Mazzariello, a composer of contemporary classical music and composition professor at Carleton College, has been methodically transforming his creative output, from notes-on-paper concert music into sonically-saturated song-poems, in which layers of vintage synth lines, programmed drums, and acoustic instruments battle each other as often as they synchronize.
