Clothes Mending and Sewing with the Clothes Closet In-Person

Join staff and volunteers from the Clothes Closet (part of Northfield’s Community Action Center) on Saturday, November 5th from 3:00-4:30 PM for a free, introductory mending class. Learn how to make simple repairs by hand or one of the library’s brand new sewing machines. The library has recently purchased six sewing machines that we will use to make your clothing last longer, save money, and lessen the burden of textile pollution – by learning to sew. Class size limited to 6. Registration required and requested up to one week prior to the event. Participants are asked to bring a piece of clothing that is in need of a simple mending.
