Proposals are now being accepted for the Minneapolis Health Department’s 2022 Violence Prevention Fund, which supports community-led strategies that address violence across Minneapolis. Groups, organizations and entities who use a public health approach to help reduce the impact of violence on our communities are encouraged to submit. The Minneapolis Office of Violence Prevention makes funding available to support strategies rooted in the wisdom and experience of community.
Completed applications are due by noon Friday, Sept. 23. All proposals must be submitted electronically through the City’s eSupplier Portal.
This is the second round of OVP funding made available through the Violence Prevention Fund in 2022. Earlier this year, OVP received 102 proposals through a competitive request process and awarded the following 16 projects for summer activation:
These organizations will be undertaking a variety of violence prevention projects over the next year. The projects represent the broad and diverse focus of violence prevention approaches that OVP supports to address both the challenging root causes of violence and more immediate impacts. Each agency supports the City’s goal of helping to reduce the impact of violence in Minneapolis communities.
