Master Gardener volunteers from Rice County will be coming to the Northfield Public Library the second Thursday of each month from May 12 through October 13, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. to answer your gardening questions.
Master gardeners can provide answers to a lot of common gardening questions and concerns including how to get rid of Japanese Beetles, what kind of diseases affect tomato plants, and how to identify spots on trees and shrubs.
If the master gardeners don't know the answer to a question on the spot, they can tap into the expertise of the University of Minnesota Horticulture Department to find the answer and can get back to you.
Since 1977, the University of Minnesota Extension has administered the Master Gardener Program. Volunteers undergo a rigorous training program with a commitment to engage with communities throughout Minnesota by sharing their horticultural expertise.
There is no charge for a consultation and no signup required.
