Tomorrow’s community listening session to receive input on topics related to a new three-year contract with the Police Federation of Minneapolis is being postponed to a later date. The other two scheduled listening sessions are taking place as planned.
This past spring Mayor Jacob Frey convened an internal workgroup focused on collaboration and developing a shared set of priorities in advance of the 2023-2025 police union contract negotiations. The group, composed of Council President Andrea Jenkins, Council Member Lisa Goodman, Council Member Aisha Chughtai, Council Member LaTrisha Vetaw and City staff, meets monthly and is hosting these listening sessions as an extension of its work.
