First half of 2022: Home prices in Minneapolis increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in Minneapolis rose by $6,050 while total sales increased by 41.4 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were 2,670 homes sold, with a median sale price of $337,000 - a 1.8 percent increase over the $330,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,888 homes sold in Minneapolis in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in Minneapolis for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,937, approximately 1.2 percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
