Mankato Minnesota issued the following announcement on March 24.
Mankato-The City of Mankato invites youth in grades Kindergarten through Fifth to participate in the Mankato Arbor Day Poster Contest. This year’s theme is “Trees Bring us Together.” A first, second and third place winner will be selected from three grade categories:
- Kindergarten and First
- Second and Third
- Fourth and Fifth
Guidelines
- Be creative and have fun.
- Contest is open to children in grades Kindergarten through Fifth.
- Original artworks on 8.5'' x 11'' OR 11'' x 17'' paper.
- Include theme name in writing on poster.
- One poster per child may be submitted.
- Posters can be created using any medium (markers, crayons, paint, etc.)
- On the back of the poster, include:
- Artist’s name
- Grade
- Parent/guardian contact information (name, email and phone number), or teacher contact information if being submitted as part of a classroom project.
