Meet Minneapolis is an accredited Destination Marketing Organization from Destinations International. The Minnesota Aquarium Society (MAS) annual aquarium show will be held at Hagfors Center on the campus of Augsburg University on Saturday, March 19th. This free event features 100+ tanks of colorful tropical fish, jewel like shrimp and meticulously raised aquatic plants. In addition to the tank displays, anyone interested in the hobby can attend technical talks for both beginner and advanced aquarists from experts in the field.
Local pet shops will have their own displays and give out discount coupons to show attendees. A panel session is planned for you to meet and talk to pet shop owners. In addition, vendors from throughout the Midwest will sell fish, plants and a wide variety of specialized aquarium accessories. MAS will also hold raffles throughout the Aquarium Expo for items donated by national manufacturers, including tanks, lights, and fish.
The show starts at 9 am and runs through 6 pm. You can simply enjoy the display tanks or choose to sit in on technical talks covering every aspect of the aquarium hobby. The presentations will alternate between introductory topics, such as “Setting Up a Fish Tank”, to more advanced subjects like “Building Your Own Fish Room”. Whether you have one small aquarium or a fish room full of tanks, there will be multiple talks appropriate for your skill level. MAS will have at least one expert for every topic in the hobby available if you need more detailed information.
Designed to appeal to all level of hobbyists, Aquarium Expo 2022 offers an entire day of events for the whole family in a beautiful setting.Masks are required indoors in accordance with Augsburg University guidelines. Free parking is available on university lots adjacent to Hagfors Center.
