The second half of 2021: Home prices in Minneapolis increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2021 in Minneapolis rose by $10,000 while total sales increased by 43.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2021, there were 2,174 homes sold, with a median sale price of $325,000 - a 3.2% increase over the $315,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,515 homes sold in Minneapolis in the second half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Minneapolis for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,937, approximately 1.2% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2021.
