The second quarter of 2021: Home prices in Minneapolis increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2021 in Minneapolis rose by $35,500 while total sales decreased by 16.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2021, there were 920 homes sold, with a median sale price of $340,000 - a 11.7% increase over the $304,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,103 homes sold in Minneapolis in the second quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Minneapolis for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,937, approximately 1.2% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2021.
