The fourth quarter of 2020: Home prices in Minneapolis increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2020 in Minneapolis rose by $35,000 while total sales decreased by 51.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2020, there were 484 homes sold, with a median sale price of $315,000 - a 12.5% increase over the $280,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,001 homes sold in Minneapolis in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Minneapolis for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,937, approximately 1.2% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2020.
