Minneapolis home prices rise in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in Minneapolis rose by $14,500 while total sales increased by 3.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were 995 homes sold, with a median sale price of $257,500 - a 6% increase over the $243,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 961 homes sold in Minneapolis in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Minneapolis for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,968, approximately 1.2% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2019.
