Minneapolis home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Minneapolis rose by $23,925 while total sales increased by 24.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 1,418 homes sold, with a median sale price of $250,000 - a 10.6% increase over the $226,075 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,140 homes sold in Minneapolis in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Minneapolis for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,968, approximately 1.2% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
