Minneapolis home prices rise in 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in 2019 in Minneapolis rose by $20,000 while total sales decreased by 12%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2019, there were 5,235 homes sold, with a median sale price of $275,000 - a 7.8% increase over the $255,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 5,952 homes sold in Minneapolis in 2018.

The median sales tax in Minneapolis for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,968, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for 2019.
