Minneapolis Public Schools issued the following announcement on Jan. 29.
Join Franklin Middle School in creating a mural to reflect the stories of elders who have lived in the Penn/Plymouth area of North Minneapolis over the last 50 years. Visual art students have already started generating ideas for the mural and the school seeks input and participation from the community in order to make this project a success.
A light meal will be provided.
Bring your creativity and your (hi)stories! This is a family friendly event!
