Steve Cortes, founder and president of the League of American Workers, said Representative Tom Emmer’s policies contributed to mass migration in Minnesota, which Cortes claims has harmed American interests.

“Hey Tom Emmer you’re a dishonest pretender,” said Cortes. “You yourself caused this mass migration invasion! You betrayed our country, and your constituents.”

According to Cortes, he accused Rep. Tom Emmer on the social media platform X of betraying his stance on immigration. He linked to his own investigative article, which presents evidence such as Emmer’s collaboration with Rep. Keith Ellison on the Somalia Caucus. This post was made in response to Emmer’s comments on alleged fraud under Governor Tim Walz in Minnesota.

In Minnesota, data from the Center for Immigration Studies cited in Cortes’ article indicates that about four out of five households led by Somali migrants receive some form of welfare. This high rate of assistance reportedly puts pressure on state-funded programs like Medicaid and food support, underscoring the economic impact of immigration policies supported by both parties.

Across the United States, most immigrant-headed households receive welfare benefits, according to Cortes’ reporting citing the Center for Immigration Studies. He says this widespread participation in public assistance programs affects national budgets and public services while mass migration also influences competition in jobs, housing, and education.

Cortes is the Founder and President of the League of American Workers and serves as a senior political advisor to CatholicVote. He is a former senior advisor to President Trump and JD Vance and has been a commentator for Fox News and CNN. Cortes regularly releases documentaries and columns at cortesinvestigates.com.
