Restoration News Media reported on the connections among anti-ICE activist groups operating from a shared office in Minneapolis, following recent protests.
According to Restoration News, the office located at 4200 Cedar Ave S serves as the headquarters for several organizations, including the Green Party of Minnesota, Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAC), Anti-War Committee Education Fund, Women Against Military Madness, and Minnesota Alliance of Peacemakers. These groups have been organizing protests against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following an incident involving Renee Good, who attempted to assault an ICE agent with her vehicle. The report highlights MIRAC’s role in aiding affected families and its historical connections to socialist organizations.
The Minnesota Legislative Reference Library indicated that the Minnesota State Demographic Center projected in 2017 that between 2041 and 2045, the state would need approximately 270,000 more net migrants than the anticipated 59,000 to maintain population levels. This projection considers migration patterns impacting workforce and economic growth across different regions.
